Wander two cottages down the lane for free-range eggs and a five minute walk to the local pub which serves home-cooked food. A 20 minute walk across the valley takes you to May’s farm shop, a true Aladdin’s Cave and a little further along the valley you can visit the beautiful Land Farm Gardens where you’ll be amazed at what can be grown at 1000ft and enjoy afternoon tea into the bargain.
The valley has a network of footpaths, including the Pennine Way which leads directly to Haworth over the moors. Take a bus back to Hebden Bridge after lunch at one of the many good restaurants or tea-rooms in the town. Last but by no means least, walk down the valley through the woods and drop into Hebden Bridge where you’ll be welcomed by an abundance of coffee shops , a twice- weekly market, great independent shops and regular arts events.
We are approximately 1 hour from the Peak District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks and can be in the Lake District in 90 mins. There is a direct train to Manchester (35 mins), Leeds (50 mins) and York (90 mins).
